Job Description:

• Define rules and Operating procedures to optimize equipment efficiency.
• Attendance and active participation during construction, testing, installation and
• commissioning of the Equipment.
• Support maintenance in establishing and defining critical tasks and parts of the equipment that can impact the efficiency of the line or product quality.
• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) according to targets defined by senior management.
• Define action plans to recover any performance gaps, as an outcome of structured Root cause analysis.
• Organize KPI's meeting with production management and supervision.
• Identify improvement opportunities using management tools.
• Support the Extrusion Manager on tracking operational cost, applying action plan when gaps are detected.
• Prepare cost/benefit analysis for proposed improvements.
• Adopt Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Define production path by optimizing the flow vs. waste and resources involved.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Implementation.
• Well versed in formulation of Aluminum extrusion product recipe for heating and cooling.
• Compose Extrusion SOPs in cooperation with the Extrusion and Die Shop staff.
• Facilitate and ensure proper implementation of the SOP at the shop floor level.
• Auditing and Assessments.
• Assist the QHSE team in performing quality, safety, environmental audits as required
• Thorough Knowledge of CNC, VMC, HMC, SPM working, programing, and tooling and fixtures
• Assist production management in performing other inter-department audits across the plant as required.
• Handling customer complaints with effective CP, PFMEA, CAPA, 8 D, other quality tools.
• Imparting on Job Training to Engineers, supervisors and workers as per the SOPs.
• Inter/intra department communication.
• Handling various processes, product and system audits.
• Handling of customer rejection return with effective control mechanism.
• Able to prepare required documentation like PPAP, APQP, CSR, ECN, SPC, MSA, and rejection data in PPM, for customers and internal system.
• Assisting in activities related to continual improvement
• Helping hand to the HOD for getting the things done on time as part of action plan and continual improvement.

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
• High level of IT skills, particularly MS-Office.
• Exposure of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and its implementation
• Exposure to ERP or similar environments is mandatory
• A minimum of 5+ years’ work experience in the highly proficient Aluminum Extrusion Plant.
